Thirteen year old Anu Adeleke just stepped into a new chapter. Fresh from holiday fun with family and friends, she is back at school and officially becoming a teenager this year. Like many young people her age, she is thinking deeply about who she is and where she belongs.

For years, Anu has carried a heavy story since she was six years old as classmates laughed when she said her father was the famous singer David Adeleke, known to everyone as Davido. The teasing hurt so much that she cried almost every day after school. The pain led to real struggles with her mental health, and she even saw a professional to help her cope.
Yet Anu never let the hardship stop her saying she kept studying hard, rose to the top of her class, and even became class prefect. Her old report cards, once shared online, show straight As and glowing comments from teachers. Now in secondary school, she focuses quietly on her books and stays away from talking about her family background.
This week, on the fifteenth day of the month, Anu decided it was time to speak up again. She wrote a heartfelt letter all by herself, no help from relatives, and posted it on a page that had been silent for five years. In the letter, she respectfully asks Davido for a simple DNA test. 'This is between my dad and me. It is something I want. It is the right thing to do,' she wrote.
