The Federal Government has formally declared Tuesday and Wednesday 25th and 26th December 2018 and Tuesday 1st January 2019 as Public Holidays to mark the Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year Celebrations, respectively.
This was declared by the minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement signed by the ministry’s Director of Press, Mohammed Manga on Wednesday evening.

Dambazau enjoined all Christian faithful and Nigerians to use the period in praying earnestly for the betterment and development of Nigeria.
He also called on Nigerians to strengthen their resolve to maintain peace and unity in the country while in the spirit of the season.
