Man defiles 13-year-old stepdaughter
The Akwa Ibom State Police has arrested a 45-year-old man, identified as Joseph Sunday Essien over alleged rape of his 13-year-old stepdaughter, Patience Edet Edem.
While parading the suspect before journalists, the State Police Commissioner, Musa Kimo said that the suspect allegedly slept with his step daughter four times.
The victim while confirming the incident said her father lured and slept with her on four occasions.
According to the victim, it was her mother who caught the man in the act and later reported the issue to the police.
While confirming the incident, the mother of the victim said her husband left her in their bedroom and sneaked into the girl’s room to carry out his lustful act.
She further regretted the death of her former husband, the father of the victim and vowed not to return to the man’s house.
