Man stabs his wife to death in Bayelsa
The police attached to Bayelsa state command has arrested a 40-year-old man, Stephen Ogho-Oghene Akpata, for allegedly stabbing his wife to death, after he suspected her of infidelity.
Akpata, confessed that he murdered his wife, Oyinye Faustina Eze, of 33 years of age, who is a staff of Globacom at their residence along the Kpansia area of Yenagoa, the State capital.
The suspect who became angry after he said he saw a text message on the deceased phone indicating she was having an extramarital affair.
He said he confronted her and argument ensued, then he stabbed her in the neck and on the shoulder leading to her death.
He also confessed to having served in various detention centres in Australia.
