The protest of the students of Federal College of Agriculture, Moor Plantation, Apata, Ibadan in Oyo State has resulted to a clash between the students and the police.
Oyo state Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Odude, said four policemen have been hospitalised following the injuries they sustained during the clash and many students were also injured during the clash.

The commissioner added that eight police vans were also damaged in the clash.
Dailyfamily.ng learnt that as early as 6:30 a.m on Monday, the students came out in their numbers to block the Ibadan-Abeokuta and many road users were forced to take alternative routes to their destinations.
The clash started when the police arrived the scene to prevent the students from breakdown laws and peace
Dailyfamily.ng also learnt that the students were protesting against the school management intention to remove the Provost of the school, Dr. Babajide Adenekan.
They said the call became imperative following an alleged disagreement between Adenekan and members of the school’s Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic, the Non-Academic Staff Union and the Senior Staff Association of Universities, Teaching Hospitals, Research Institutes and Associated Institutions.
