A fire has gutted an Ecobank building in the Itire part of Lagos. This is according to sources in the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the fire incident was as a result of a power surge.
According to sources, the fire started at night when most residents were fast asleep, although residents came out to put out the fire before a distress call was made to the emergency rescue team of the agency.
It was gathered that the Fire & Rescue team of LASEMA were deployed to the location to put out the inferno that had already spread to other parts of the building.
As at the time of filing this report the worth of the properties damaged cannot be ascertained.
