A middle age man Identified has Abdullahi Abubakar, aka Dogo, was Alleged machete one Femi Olofi who is a slaughter at Abattoir in Owo, the Owo local government area of Ondo State.
Speaking to dailyfamily.ng at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Owo, Mr. Olofi said that the fight started when Abubakar did not allow him to carry the cow he has paid for.
“I went to our Abattoir on Monday morning to pick the cow I had previously pay for, on getting there, Abubakar did not allow me to take the cow.
“He accused me of trying to steal the cow saying ‘ Yoruba people think they get sense, you want to steal my cow’.
“I told him that have paid for the cow, but he refused saying no such instruction given to him by his master.
“As we are dragging the issue, Abubakar took cutlass and cut my hand.”
There was another case of a Police officer attached to Area command, Owo police headquarters who allegedly opened fire on three persons.
Source told Dailyfamily.ng that the police officer allegedly opened fired at the three people when they refused to give him #50.
According to reports, the victims are receiving treatment at the Emergency ward, Federal Medical Center (FMC) Owo, Ondo State.
Confirming the incidents in a telephone chat with Dailyfamily.ng, the Police Spokesman, Ondo State Police Command, Mr. Femi Joseph who said that the case has been reported to police and the accused person is in police custody.
“There was a clash between one Abdullahi Abubakar and Femi Olofi at Abattoir in Owo.
“Abubakar, who is looking after his master’s cattle disallowed Mr. Olofi from taking the cow for slaughtering, he told Olofi to contact his master first.
“Mr. Olofi told him that he has no airtime to put a call across to Abubakar’s master. This lead to a serious argument an Abubakar was reported machete Olofi in his hand.
According to the police image maker, the victims are responding to treatment and investigations are going on.
Also speaking on the issue of the police allegedly opened fire on the three innocent persons, Mr Joseph said investigations are going on.
“We are investigating the police officer who allegedly committed the crime, once we are done with our investigation and the officer was found guilty of the crime he will definitely face the punishment.
