Following a suspected case of Monkeypox recorded recently in Gboko local government area of Benue state, the commissioner of Health, Dr Cecelia Ojabo has deployed medical personnel to the affected area to ensure the situation is brought under control.
Confirming the development, Dr Ojabo said she sent some medical doctors to the affected person’s house immediately to ensure the situation is brought under control.
According to Kusugh Philip Terhemba who released the photos, it was gathered that the doctors arrived the home of the suspected victim on Wednesday morning.

It was gathered that the Chairperson of Gboko Local Government, Mrs Becky Orpin led a team of doctors and newsmen to the victim’s house.

The victim, a woman, was taken to Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi where her blood sample was collected and taken to the laboratory for analysis to confirm if she is infected with Monkeypox or not.
