5 Simple Ways to Train Your Child to be a Tither
The act of tithing is one of the key aspects of the Christian practice which a parent that is a believer must cultivate in their children.

If a parent fails to train their children how to pay tithe early in life, that child may end up totally ignorant about that aspect of Christianity.
Here are simple ways parents can train their children to pay tithe:
- Start early: the bible admonishes parents to train up a child and not an adult. Parents should learn from this and start teaching their children whatever needs to be taught very early in life, I mean as soon as the child can talk and understand what he/she hears.
- Use the Bible: the word of God has been given to us to help us in all areas including teaching others. A parent should go into the bible to show the child what tithe means and why it is important to pay it. Using the bible also include citing examples of those who paid tithes and punishments that await those who fail to do so.
- Warn against heresy: the world we are today is full of wrong teachings and according to the bible, it is not going to get better. This is why parents must warn their children against listening to the wrong people.
Parents must protect their children from listening to preachers, social media or any other means that go against the word of God, warning them that the word of God is the only standard for a Christian.
- Help the child to practice: teaching a child to be a tither goes beyond just saying it, you must help that child to practice what he/she is being taught by taking out ten percent on behalf of the child when he/she receives monetary gifts or allowances.
- Be an example: children learn more from actions than just words, a parent that wants to teach his/her child the act of tithing must be a tither too and not a deceiver.
Paying tithes is one of the ways to secure the blessings of God and this we must do and teach our children to do also if we desire that they become great in life.
