According to reports, Idoko allegedly stabbed her husband, Lawrence Idoko, 33, at Aiyetoro, Ijanikin after an argument ensued between them on August 20, 2017.
Folashade had reportedly accused Lawrence of engaging in infidelity, which led to the argument between them.
Investigating Police Officer, Inspector Akpan Nseyo, told the court on Tuesday that he recovered, at the scene, a kitchen knife with which the suspect used to stab Lawrence.
Inspector Nseyo said, “I also saw a towel soaked with blood on the floor. There were bloodstains from the inner room to the living room down to the entrance door.’’
The defendant, in her statement to the police, stated that she had no intention to kill her husband. She added that the kitchen knife mistakenly fell and injured Lawrence as they both struggled for it.
The prosecutor, Sergeant W. Hafsat, told the court that the suspect was alleged to have inflicted grievous harm on the victim in the past, but the latter overlooked it with the hope that she would change.

The defendant’s plea, however, was not taken by the court.
The presiding magistrate, Mrs K.A. Ayeri, ordered that she should be remanded in custody and adjourned the case till September 28, 2017.
