Man arraigned for stealing Phone (See Details)

A young man identified as Tochukwu Ugbodo has been arraigned before an Oredo Magistrate Court in Bénin City, Edo State, for stealing an Infinix phone worth N40,000 belonging to one Esther Iyoha Ehigiator.

Ugbodo who was arraigned on a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing pleaded not guilty the charges.

The offence which is punishable under section 516 of the Criminal Code Cap 48 Vol II Laws of the defunct Bendel State now applicable on Edo State was committed on June 12, 2018, at Upper Lawani Street in Oredo local government area of the state.

He was however granted bail in the sum of N50,000 and a surety in like sum by Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. V.E Oyekpen
