After Alleged Battering, Mercy Aigbe Takes Case To Lagos Govt.

Popular actress Mercy Aigbe-Gentry has reported her husband to The Lagos State Government for battering and assault. The actress who was allegedly battered by her husband last week could not bear it anymore and had to do the needful.

So many friends and relatives of the actress have tried to intervene and mend fences between her and her husband Mr. Lanre Gentry all to no avail.

Mr. Gentry was alleged to have beaten the nollywood actress and battered her last week, Mercy who seemed unsatisfied with all the pleas reportedly took the matter to The Lagos State Ministry Of Women Affairs.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, An official of the ministry said the case will receive quick attention due to the mandate given to the ministry by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to bring down the number domestic violence especially against women.

“I am commenting on this based on your manner of approach, so please I’d like my privacy to be respected. Truly, the case is with us here.

Mercy Aigbe, it was learnt, personally reported the assault, and because of the governor’s zero tolerance for domestic violence, we are as a matter of urgency investigating the whole drama. It is a good thing that it has also been brought to the public eye.

”We’re still very much on top of the matter and we’ll get it to its logical conclusion,” he said.
Pictures of a battered Mercy Aigbe flooded the Internet last week after it was alleged that she was battered by her Hotelier husband on an accusation of adultery.
