FG declares Friday 1st Dec as public holiday

The federal government of Nigeria has declared Friday as public holiday to mark the Eid-El-Maulud celebration.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd.), on behalf of the FG in a statement on Wednesday by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Abubakar Magaji.

In the statement, all Muslim faithful and Nigerians are advised to use the prior to pray for peace, progress and unity of the nation and also support the president’s
administration towards building the nation.

The minister wishes Nigerians a happy Eid-El-Maulud celebration.
