NCCF preaches goodwill message of hope in Ondo state 

The Ondo State Chapter of the Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship, NCCF, has canvassed for more development in the rural areas to upgrade and improve the lives of people living in the areas.

This was made known at the just concluded two-day evangelical outreach exercise for the batch A in Owena in Idanre local government area of Ondo state.

The programme was attended by corps members from the various local government areas of the state including Akure South, Akure North, Ore, Owo, Ondo, Okitipupa, Ilaje and Irele.

The corps members dispatched to various locations within the town, preaching the goodwill message of hope, resulted to 28 people giving their lives to Christ out of 38 villagers that heard the message of hope.

The theme of the programme, “The Great Light” which was delivered by the Guest Minister, Pastor Ojueromi centered on the need to effectively propagate the gospel on the part of the youths.

A dramatic display of the death and crucifixion of Jesus Christ was carried out as corps members walked round the community to demonstrate the true essence of salvation.

As part of the programmes, put in place, free medical services, clothes, household utensils, free hair cut and hairdo were all carried out by volunteer corps members.

Also a free counseling session for youths, women and a film show titled: ‘O to ge’ (Enough is enough) captured the present state of mediocre Christianity and how many believers get carried away by worldly desires.

A corps member from Owo Local Government, Miss Tonia Daniel described the Rural Rugged experience as impactful stressing that it has created a reawakening of selfless service for a society that is in desperate need.

She described the turn out of the people as encouraging and touching the lives of the people will not be in vain.

One of the residents of Owena, Blessing Patrick said that the impact has been felt greatly to ensure that the ray of hope does not die.

She expressed gratitude for the selfless service and show of love that was displayed by the corps members during the two-day outreach experience.
